Self-management of assistive devices and technology empowers Deaf and Hard of Hearing children and young people to become independent. 

Intervention can support self-management skills such as:

  • Putting on own hearing aids/processors

  • Identifying when hearing aid/processor batteries are dead

  • Removing moisture and wax from hearing aid tubing

  • Connecting to a Roger network

  • Connecting to a tablet, laptop or smartphone.

  • Developing an in-depth understanding of the functions and features of assistive devices and technology

  • Troubleshooting for processors, hearing aids, transmitters and other technologies
