Self-management of assistive devices and technology empowers Deaf and Hard of Hearing children and young people to become independent.
Intervention can support self-management skills such as:
Putting on own hearing aids/processors
Identifying when hearing aid/processor batteries are dead
Removing moisture and wax from hearing aid tubing
Connecting to a Roger network
Connecting to a tablet, laptop or smartphone.
Developing an in-depth understanding of the functions and features of assistive devices and technology
Troubleshooting for processors, hearing aids, transmitters and other technologies
