About Christie
Christie is an experienced Teacher of the Deaf working in Melbourne, Victoria. She holds a Masters of Intervention specialising in Hearing Impairment from the University of Melbourne. She uses evidence-based practice to develop language, auditory skills and social skills with a concurrent focus on self-advocacy and independence.
Christie is a passionate advocate for DHH children and young people. Her mission is to equip them with the skills they need to thrive and reach their full potential.
Building positive relationships with her clients is the cornerstone of Christie’s practice. She works collaboratively with schools and families, facilitating a working partnership and shared understanding.
